Job Search

Whether you are looking for your first job or your 21st job, the process for job search is fairly similar.

Gone are the days when you can walk into a business, ask for the Human Resource Manager and come out with a secure position from which you will retire.

Most jobs today are sought after by a number of other individuals who are as qualified and ready to work as you.

A successful job search will not be done overnight.  On average, it will take 200 hours of active job searching to secure a position.   How you do your job search will determine if you are on the lower or upper end of this range.

The Career Resource Centre is here to help with all stages of your job search, from skill development, to networking, interviews and the tools needed to ensure workplace success.

Career Resource Centre is funded through the Canada-Nova Scotia Labour Market Development
Agreement under the direction of Employment Nova Scotia and sponsored by CREDA.
